While it may seem like an odd thing to do during a tourist trip, you should visit the Key West Cemetery nonetheless. Duval Street also has many historic homes such as the Truman Little White House. This was the place where the former president Harry Truman stayed while he was visiting Key West. Although it was supposed to be a short visit, he ultimately stayed for 175 days. He held many a historic meeting here and even ran the country. Currently, the house serves as a museum with many personal items of Truman on display.

Just like Miami, Key West also has a thriving art scene. Nowhere is it more apparent than the Studios of Key West. The Studios are a nonprofit organization and it has a dozen studios. There is a lot to appreciate here. You can roam around a beautiful sculpture garden. Visual arts displays are often held for the public.
