The Places You Must Visit in Miami.Miami has been presented in a variety of avatars. It is the haven for retirees, playground of celebrities, refuge for snowbirds and, of course, a preserve for the tourists. All of them perfectly describe what this city is capable of offering. Miami is easily one of the most popular destinations of Florida and you can just as easily lose yourself in the seductive allure of this seaside city. There is much to enjoy in the city of Miami. At the same time, there is much around the city to explore and experience. You can take a trip down the Overseas Highway and visit the famed Florida Keys and Key West. From Key West to Miami, you can enjoy some very spectacular sights and memorable experiences. Here is a list of some of the things you shouldn't miss out on when in Miami. Miami BeachDuck Key should be the next spot on your itinerary especially if you want to enjoy a dive or two. Most divers tend to overlook Duck Key as a diving destination but that is what makes it so special. There are fewer residents as well which makes this place a rather quiet one. The waters around duck key are brimming with incredible sea life such as giant sea turtles, spotted eagle rays and goatfish. Marathon and the Seven Mile Bridge
Miami To Key West Bus
Even if you are not planning to visit one of the two cities, you should take the time out to witness the magnificent engineering marvel of the Overseas Highway. The ride is incredibly beautiful and there are many scenes to enjoy during the trip. The bridge is just as historical as it is beautiful. Originally, there was a railroad that connected the Keys instead of a highway. The Overseas Railroad was built in 1929 but was destroyed by a hurricane in 1935. Instead of rebuilding the railroad, it was decided to build a highway. Parts of the ancient railroad are still visible from the highway and the ruins are worth a visit. As the highway connects the Florida Keys together, you can easily take a detour and visit each of them in turn. They are worth the visit as each Key has something different to offer. Wildlife encounters, swimming with dolphins, diving, visits to coral reefs and many breathtaking sights are some of the experiences you find in these places.
